ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Champion Challenger, Defender, 2024-2025 Glaval Entourage, and 2023-2024 Glaval Universal transit buses. The entry door ground wire may be incorrectly connected to the positive side of the battery instead of the negative ground.
Risk: An incorrect ground connection increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will repair the wiring at the entry door, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River Bus customer service at 800-348-7440. Forest River Bus, LLC. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Glaval Universal and Mobility Trans Safetbus transit buses, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Risk: The seat back could release under the shoulder belt load, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the seat, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2024. (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Starcraft Allstar, Senator II, 2022-2024 Starcraft Allstar MVP, Senator II MVP, Eldorado National Advantage, 2018 Starcraft Candidate II, 2023 Starcraft Starlite, 2023-2034 Champion Challenger, Elkhart Coach ELKC, and 2019-2024 Glaval Universal transit buses. Unsecured brake lines may be damaged by contact with the frame rail.
Risk: Damaged brake lines can cause loss of brake pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and secure the brake lines, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 1, 2024.
