ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES
Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2024 H3-45 and H3-45 VIP vehicles. The grommet that protects the battery cables passing through a metallic panel was improperly installed, allowing the cables to chafe on the edges of the panel and potentially short circuit.
Risk: An electrical short circuit increases the risk of a fire. Additionally, a vehicle fire may require an evacuation procedure in an uncontrolled traffic situation, increasing the risk of injury to passengers.
Remedy: Prevost will inspect and reinstall the grommet, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2024. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR24-12. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, STRUCTURE:BODY:BUMPERS
Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2024 H3-45 and 2022-2024 H3-45 VIP motorcoaches equipped with Prevost Driver Assist. The radar sensor may be obstructed by an incorrect front bumper trim panel, causing the driver assist system to not function properly.
Risk: A driver assist system that does not function properly may engage the brakes unexpectedly or fail to engage the brakes as intended, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Prevost will inspect and replace the front bumper panel as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 23, 2024. Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2024 H3-45, 2023-2024 H3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP Entertainer, and 2023 X3-45 motor coaches. The grid heater cables that connect to the relay may have a loose connection and cause the relay to overheat.
Risk: A relay that overheats can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Prevost will inspect and replace damaged components, and tighten the grid heater relay nuts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 30, 2023. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL
Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2023-2024 H3-45 and 2022-2024 H3-45 VIP vehicles. The right front turn signal light may fail when the turn signal or hazard warning lights are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: An inoperative front turn signal may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, while inoperative hazard warning lights reduce the vehicle visibility to other drivers, both increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Prevost will install enhanced headlight wiring that includes additional resistors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 30, 2023.
