ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION:PIPES, HOSES, AND FITTINGS

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2025 G5 transit buses built on a GM chassis and equipped with a second air conditioning compressor kit. The drive belt pulley may contact and damage the the oil lines.

Risk: A damaged oil like may leak, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2002-2015 MB II, 2008-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series transit buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.

Risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and secure the anchor screw cap as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 27, 2026. Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2022-2023, 2025 T-Series and 2022-2026 G5 transit buses. The power cable providing electricity to the air conditioning control board may have a loose connection to the power stud on the board.

Risk: A loose power cable connection may cause the control board to overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will secure the power cable and power stud as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 30, 2026. Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2025 G5 transit buses equipped with a power-assisted service door. The rod-eye rings attaching the front and rear door panels to the opening gear may delaminate, preventing the door from being controlled by the driver.

Risk: The door panel may remain in the open position or open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of passenger being injured falling out of the bus.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the service door mechanism for signs of rod-eye ring delamination and repair the mechanism as necessary, free of charge. Risk: A broken bolt may allow the suspension to shift or detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

Risk: A loose drive belt can result in a loss of power steering, or a loss of alternator and water pump function, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the engine may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: A dealer will replace the engine drive belt tensioner and belt, free of charge. An owner notification letter was mailed November 6, 2024. Risk: In the event of an emergency, a broken door handle can prevent or delay emergency responders from entering the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear emergency door exterior handle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2024.
