EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL, WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS

Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2015-2022 BC900XL brush chipper trailers. The service and maintenance manuals list the incorrect lug nut torque value.

Risk: Improperly tightened lug nuts can result in a loose or detached wheel, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Vermeer will provide a remedy kit with a new manual, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 11, 2024. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051, ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is IK4561. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2021 BC900XL, BC1000XL, and BC1200XL brush chippers. The chipper discharge chute may separate, and fall off the trailer.

Risk: A separated chipper discharge chute can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Remedy: Dealers will install a field remedy kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 21, 2021. Owners may contact Vermeer's customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER, SUSPENSION:MULTIPLE AXLE

Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2021 BC900XL brush chipper trailers. The mounting bolts that secure the axle assembly to the mainframe structure of the brush chipper may not have been tightened properly.

Risk: Loose axle mounting bolts may result in the axle separating from the brush chipper, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Vermeer will notify owners, and dealers will replace the mounting bolts and tighten them to the correct torque specification, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 20, 2021. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is IK4005. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
