ABC BUS Inc. is recalling certain 2023-2024 Van Hool CX35 and CX45 vehicles equipped with Hydronic L-II heaters. The burner units may release excessive exhaust gas.

Risk: Excessive exhaust gas can result in smoke poisoning or cause a vehicle fire, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Owners are advised not to use the heaters until they have been repaired. Dealers will inspect, rework, and calibrate the heaters to avoid excessive exhaust gas values, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 27, 2024. Owners may contact ABC Bus customer service at 1-407-287-3184. ABC Bus number for this recall is 24E030. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

SEAT BELTS:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain 2024 CX45 vehicles. The seat belt assembly attachment screw may break.

Risk: An unanchored seat belt may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace seat belt assembly screw on passenger seats, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 16, 2024. Owners may contact Van Hool customer service at 1-877-427-7278 or 1-407-656-7977. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
