ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION:PIPES, HOSES, AND FITTINGS

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2026 G5 and 2024 MB II school buses built on a GM chassis and equipped with a second air conditioning compressor kit. The drive belt pulley may contact and damage the the oil lines.

Risk: A damaged oil like may leak, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2003-2026 MB II, 2006-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series school buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.

Risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and secure the anchor screw cap as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 27, 2026. Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2022-2025 MB II, T-Series, and 2021-2026 G5 school buses. The power cable providing electricity to the air conditioning control board may have a loose connection to the power stud on the board.

Risk: A loose power cable connection may cause the control board to overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will secure the power cable and power stud as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2026. Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2026 G5 and 2025 T-Series school buses equipped with certain QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

Risk: An unlocked wheelchair can move during transit or during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2025. Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2025 T- Series, G5, and 2024-2025 MBII school buses equipped with a power-assisted service door. The rod-eye rings attaching the front and rear door panels to the opening gear may delaminate, preventing the door from being controlled by the driver.

Risk: The door panel may remain in the open position or open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of passenger being injured falling out of the bus.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the service door mechanism for signs of rod-eye ring delamination and repair the mechanism as necessary, free of charge. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Risk: An insufficiently retained seat can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The seats may be improperly attached. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Risk: An improperly attached seat can detach in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2019 G5 school buses. A LIN gateway module may fail causing the defrosting system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."

Risk: An inoperative windshield defrosting system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
