Braun Ambulances (Braun Ambulances) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Chief XL I, Chief XL III, Express Plus I, Express III, and Liberty I vehicles. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.
Risk: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
Remedy: Dealers will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 17, 2024. Owners may contact Braun Ambulances customer service at 1-877-344-9990. Braun Ambulances number for this recall is 24-003. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE
Braun Ambulances (Braun) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Chief XL Type I, Chief XL Type III, Express Plus Type I, Express Type III, and Liberty Type I vehicles. The high contact nodes may cause the module mounted turn signals, backup alarm, brake lights, and rearview camera to turn on intermittently or fail to activate.
Risk: Failure of vital visual systems reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the node and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 26, 2024. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 419-232-7020. Braun's number for this recall is 2024-2. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

Braun Ambulances (Braun) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Chief XL I, Express Plus I, Chief XL III, Liberty I, Super Chief I, Signature Series III, Signature Series I, and 2020-2024 Express III emergency vehicles equipped with Weldon 8X16 Input-Output nodes. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.
Risk: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
Remedy: Weldon will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 28, 2024.
