AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Revel, 2020-2025 Navion, Porto, View, Vita, 2022-2023 Adventure Van, and 2024-2025 Ekko motorhomes. Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) wires can be caught in the seat mechanism when the driver or passenger seats are adjusted.
Risk: Damaged wires can prevent air bags from deploying in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and re-route the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 26, 2024. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Revel motorhomes. The cables near the lithium batteries may contact the battery hold-down brackets, which can damage the cables and cause a short circuit.
Risk: A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will reroute the current carrying cables and secure them, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 28, 2023. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2023 Revel camper vans. The Tire and Loading Information Label has an incorrect tire size listed as R16, when the tire size should be R17. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Risk: The incorrect tire size information could result in the wrong tires being installed on the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Winnebago will provide a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 24, 2023. Risk: An awning extending unintentionally during transit may become a distraction or road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
