Shyft Group

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2016, 2019, and 2021 Utilimaster Velocity vehicles. Water may enter an improperly sealed strobe light and cause a short circuit.

Risk: An electrical short increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Owners are advised to remove the control module for the strobe light. The remedy is currently under development. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed July 17, 2026. Another notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 26-06. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

Spartan Motors USA

VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES

Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Fleet Services Truck Body and Velocity vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with ASA Electronics monitors for displaying the backup camera images, model number VOM74MMx. The affected monitors may revert back to the factory default settings which may cause the camera image to be reversed.

Risk: If the monitor displays the image in reverse, the driver may unintentionally turn in the wrong direction, increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy: Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will install a relay harness with a capacitor, free of charge. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-800-543-5008. Spartan's number for this recall is 19002. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
