POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY

Terex Advance (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Mixer FD3000, FD4000, and FD6000B vehicles manufactured August 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015, and equipped with drive axles manufactured by Marmon-Herrington. The affected axles may have hex nuts on the flange yoke that may not have been properly tightened.

Risk: If the hex nuts are not tightened to specification, the driveshaft may disconnect from the drive axle, resulting in a loss of propulsion and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Terex will notify owners and provide instructions to properly torque the bolts. The recall began on July 15, 2016. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-433-6691. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
