ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Commercial Chassis equipped with Hercules HC 1.7 multiplex nodes. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.
Risk: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
Remedy: Weldon will update the firmware, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723. Pierce's number for this recall is 74B334. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
