EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:WRECKER AND WHEEL LIFT DEVICES

Jerr-Dan Corporation (Jerr-Dan) is recalling certain model year 2007-2014 Standard Duty Wreckers manufactured November 1, 2007, through March 3, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the underlift boom tilt cylinder may drift down while a vehicle is being towed.

Risk: If the underlift boom tilt cylinder drifts down during towing, the vehicle that is being towed may contact the road surface, increasing the risk of the vehicle crash.

Remedy: Jerr-Dan will notify owners and dealers will replace the underlift tilt circuit counterbalance valve, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Jerr-Dan customer service at 1-800-926-9666. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
