Halcore Group, Inc. (Halcore) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Horton Emergency Vehicles Type I and Type III ambulances. The A/C input power cord for the Sensata inverter may be undersized for certain inverter applications, possibly resulting in an electrical short circuit.

Risk: An electrical short circuit increases the risk of a fire or a shock hazard.

Remedy: Halcore has notified owners, instructing them to contact Sensata for a replacement power cord, free of charge. The recall began March 10, 2020. Owners may contact Halcore customer service at 1-800-447-0343. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

Halcore Group, Inc. (Halcore) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Horton Type I and Type III ambulances equipped with ASA Electronics back-up camera displays. The displays may revert back to the factory default settings which may cause the camera image to be reversed.

Risk: The driver may inadvertently turn the wrong direction to avoid an object behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Horton will notify owners and dealers will add a harness relay capacitor module to prevent the image from reversing, free of charge. The recall began June 13, 2019. Owners may contact ASA customer service at 1-800-384-4400 or Halcore at 1-800-447-0343. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
