Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)

STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR, STEERING:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 CMX300, CMX500, and CL500 motorcycles. The handlebar lock screw may loosen and detach.

Risk: A detached screw may lodge between the frame and stem, interfering with steering and increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the lock screw and apply thread lock, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 8, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KUO. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning March 21, 2026. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Rebel 300 (CMX300) motorcycles. The right engine crank house cover was incorrectly painted, allowing the press-fit plug to fall out.

Risk: Oil can leak onto the exhaust pipe or rear tire without the plug, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the right crank case cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 25, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-800-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KP2. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
