The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2016-2026 front loader garbage trucks equipped with replacement CNG tailgate ladder kits. An incorrect bolt may have been installed in one of the ladder legs, allowing the bolt to contact and damage the CNG cylinders.

Risk: A damaged CNG tank can leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Heil will replace the ladder bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is SN-26-001 . The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2024 front end loader garbage trucks. The fuel shutoff solenoid may fail, resulting in an engine stall while driving.

Risk: An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Heil will remove the CNG automatic shutoff solenoid, free of charge. All repairs will be performed free of charge. All affected trucks were repaired by August 12, 2024. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
