ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY
Elgin Sweeper Company is recalling certain 2024-2026 Pelican vehicles equipped with Samsung SDI high voltage battery packs. The high voltage batteries may fail.
Risk: The defective batteries may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will install battery monitoring software, free of charge. The remedy for this recall is currently under development. The Elgin Sweeper Company has not yet provided a schedule for owner notification. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available. The Elgin Sweeper Company number for this recall is 26E009. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
