Custom Truck and Body Works (Custom Truck) is recalling certain 2020 Ford F-550 vehicles equipped with Weldon 8X16 Input-Output nodes. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.

Risk: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.

Remedy: Custom Truck will work with Weldon to update the firmware, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired. Owners may contact Custom Truck customer service at 1-888-712-2963 or Weldon Division of Akron Brass customer service at 1-800-228-1161. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

Custom Truck and Body Works (Custom Truck) is recalling certain 2020 F550 vehicles equipped with Weldon V-Mux Vista IV Standard LCD displays. These displays may experience low voltage spikes, and cause the LCD display to lock up or become nonfunctional, due to varying electrical installations.

Risk: If the LCD display becomes locked up or non-functional it can delay emergency efforts, which can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the IV Standard LCD displays, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Custom Truck customer service at 1-888-712-2963. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
