EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY:WHEELCHAIR LIFT/RAMP

Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Vision school buses. The wheelchair lift may have a missing support brace, causing the wheelchair lift to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 404, "Platform Lift Installations."

Risk: A wheelchair lift that fails increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: Blue Bird will install the missing support brace, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 4, 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.

PARKING BRAKE:ELECTRICAL:CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE

Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Vision school buses. The brake interlock software may unintentionally activate the parking brake at any driving speed.

Risk: A bus that stops suddenly without warning, increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the brake interlock software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2025. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242. Blue Bird's number for this recall is R25DS. The repair is free at any franchised dealer of your brand.
