Recall 26V264 covers 12 2026 Fleetwood Fortis, Vacationer, Admiral, Flair and Bounder motorhomes for unexpected generator starts. Park outside. Free dealer repair.
A generator running in an enclosed space, such as a garage, increases the risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning. Park the RV outside and away from enclosed areas until the relay harness repair is complete. If the generator starts, stops, or tries to start when the furnace blower turns on or off, treat that noise as a warning sign and contact the dealer. Repair is free at any franchised Fleetwood dealer.
Fleetwood is recalling 12 2026 Fortis, Flair, Bounder, Vacationer, and Admiral motorhomes because the furnace can send an electrical signal that starts the generator unexpectedly. A generator running in an enclosed space, including a garage, increases the risk of carbon monoxide injury or death, so owners should park outside and away from structures until a Fleetwood dealer completes the free repair.

What's wrong?
The relay wire harness is part of the electrical path between the RV furnace controls and the Onan/Cummins 7000I generator control module. In normal operation, the furnace blower turns on and off without sending a start or stop command to the generator. The generator control module should only respond when the owner or coach control system asks it to run.
On affected 2026 Fleetwood Fortis, Vacationer, Admiral, Flair, and Bounder motorhomes, the furnace output signal can create electrical line noise. That noise can reach the generator start and stop circuit and make the control module command the generator to turn on or off. The recalled motorhomes do not have the updated Fleetwood/Onan harness inside the generator housing that blocks this noise.
The warning sign is audible. When the RV furnace blower motor turns on or off, the generator can start, stop, or attempt to start, creating noise from the generator area.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Fleetwood technician installs a relay harness so the furnace signal no longer turns the generator on unexpectedly. The recall repair is free, with parts and labor covered. Until the harness is installed, keep the motorhome parked outside as REV instructs. If you paid out of pocket for this generator or furnace related repair before the recall notice, Fleetwood's standard reimbursement plan covers documented expenses. Bring repair paperwork and receipts to the service desk.
