What's wrong?
The chassis and cab wire harnesses on these 2025-2027 Isuzu-built trucks carry electrical signals and power between major vehicle systems. They are bundled groups of wires, wrapped in insulation, that need to stay clipped in place and separated from sharp metal brackets, bolts, and body structure.
On affected Chevrolet Lcf 4500HD, Nrr EV, Chevrolet Lcf 4500XD, Nrr, Chevrolet Lcf 5500XD, Npr Xd, and Npr Hd trucks, the harness routing leaves wire branches close enough to metal parts for rubbing. Isuzu traced the problem to installation routing at the Fujisawa vehicle production facility, not to a defect in the harness itself. Normal harness and assembly variation lets the wires contact metal, which wears through the protective covering and leads to harness failure.
Owners can see warning lights on the dash before the harness fails. Smoke or sparks on the left side of the vehicle behind the cab are also warning signs.

What's the safety risk?
A failed harness can stall the engine, disable the brake lights or parking brake, and increase crash risk. Damaged wires can melt and raise fire risk. If warning lights appear, or if you see smoke or sparks behind the cab on the left side, stop using the truck and call the dealer. Repair is free at any franchised Chevrolet dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2025-2027 Isuzu Chevrolet Lcf 4500HD, Nrr EV, Chevrolet Lcf 4500XD, Nrr, Chevrolet Lcf 5500XD, Npr Xd, or Npr Hd is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Chevrolet dealer to schedule the free additional-fastener and harness inspection that keeps chassis and cab wiring from chafing and failing.
- Bring the recall notice if Isuzu mailed one. If not, reference recall number 26V210 when you call.
- Call Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638 with questions and reference Isuzu recall V2602.
- Watch for engine stall, brake-light failure, parking-brake failure, or melting-wire signs until the repair is complete.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Chevrolet technician adds additional fasteners, then inspects the chassis and cab wire harnesses for chafing or damage. Any harnesses that need replacement are replaced under the recall. Parts and labor are covered. Out-of-pocket repairs already paid are handled through the original factory warranty, not through a separate reimbursement program, because the affected vehicles are still under warranty. Ask the service desk how warranty coverage applies if you have prior repair paperwork.
