What's wrong?

The fuel feed hose on the 2025 Honda CB1000SP carries gasoline from the tank toward the engine. It uses a quick connector, a locking fitting that is supposed to hold the hose tightly in place while the motorcycle vibrates and fuel pressure changes. Nearby wiring harnesses carry electrical signals and should be routed so they do not press on that connector.

On affected motorcycles, the wire harness position was not controlled closely enough during assembly. The angle sensor coupler, an electrical plug in that harness, can end up between the fuel feed hose and the turn signal relay. In that position, the coupler presses against the quick connector lock. Normal riding vibration and fuel pressure can release the lock, letting the fuel feed hose disconnect from the tank and leak fuel.

There is no warning sign before failure. A rider should treat any smell of gasoline or visible fuel around the tank area as a reason to stop riding and arrange dealer inspection.
