What's wrong?
The Lippert 3000 Series Hidden Hinge Ramp Door on affected 2022-2026 Takoda, Adrenaline, Riverstone, Work And Play, Chaparral, Phoenix, and Cedar Creek fifth wheel travel trailers is the fold down ramp used to load and unload powered sports vehicles. The hinge and door frame are supposed to hold the ramp door in place while the ramp carries the weight and movement of that vehicle. The door core, frame, and hinge work together so the ramp stays attached to the trailer body.
On these trailers, the ramp door design did not account for added dynamic forces during loading or unloading. Those forces can pull the door core away from the door frame. If the separation continues, the ramp door can break away from the frame while a vehicle is being moved on or off the trailer. The recall fix uses the original door and adds three support brackets to help keep the core attached to the frame.
There is no warning sign before failure. A ramp that looks usable can still be included, so the VIN decides whether this recall applies.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an East To West technician installs additional support brackets for the ramp door assembly so the door is better secured to the frame during loading and unloading. The recall repair is free, and parts and labor are covered. If you already paid out of pocket for a related ramp door repair before the recall notice, the manufacturer's standard reimbursement plan covers documented expenses. Bring repair paperwork and payment records to the service desk when you ask about reimbursement.
