Recall 25V903 covers 10,554 2019-2024 Lamborghini Urus SUVs for a rearview camera software error. Repair will be free at any franchised Lamborghini dealer once available.
Lamborghini is recalling 10,554 2019-2024 Urus vehicles because a software error can shut off the rearview camera image, leaving the screen blank when the driver needs to see behind the vehicle. That loss of rear visibility increases crash risk, and the Lamborghini dealer repair will be free once the remedy is available.

What's wrong?
The rearview camera system on 2019-2024 Lamborghini Urus SUVs sends camera video through the driver assistance control unit to the infotainment screen. When the driver shifts into reverse, that image is supposed to show the area behind the SUV so the driver can check for people, objects, and obstacles while backing up.
On affected Urus SUVs, certain parts and software versions leave the camera system vulnerable to electrical noise between the control unit and the cameras. Reduced shielding in the coaxial cable connections lets interference corrupt data inside the Top View camera system. When that happens, individual cameras fail and the rearview image does not appear on the screen.
The warning sign is direct: the driver will notice that the rearview camera image is not displayed. If that happens, use extra caution when reversing and have a Lamborghini dealer diagnose the vehicle.

What's the safety risk?
A missing rearview camera image reduces the driver's view behind the Urus when backing up and increases the risk of a crash. If the screen does not show the rearview image, use extra caution while reversing and contact an authorized dealer without delay. Repair will be free at any franchised Lamborghini dealer once available.

What happens at the repair
Lamborghini has not opened the final dealer repair yet. Once it becomes available, a Lamborghini technician will update the parking assist software, and the recall repair will be free. If you have already paid out of pocket for this same defect, Lamborghini's reimbursement plan covers eligible repair labor and taxes. Work through an authorized Lamborghini dealership. The dealer will ask for the owner notification letter and the previously paid invoice, inspect the vehicle, and submit the claim to Lamborghini. Towing, rental, lodging, and unrelated damage costs are not reimbursed.
