What's wrong?
On affected 2022-2024 Thor Motor Coach Dazzle, Tellaro, Scope, Twist, Sequence, and Rize RVs, the roof solar panel is held in place with sealant. That sealant is the adhesive bond between the panel and the roof, so it has to keep the panel secured while the RV is moving, parked, and exposed to weather.
Thor Motor Coach found that insufficient sealant was used to attach the solar panel to the roof. When there is not enough adhesive coverage, the bond can loosen instead of holding the panel flat against the roof. A loose panel can separate from the RV, creating a road hazard for other drivers.
The warning sign is loose solar panel adhesion. If you can safely inspect the roof from the ground or during service, look for a panel that appears lifted, shifted, or no longer sitting tight against the roof. Do not climb onto the RV roof unless you can do so safely.

The recall covers the replacement parts and labor, so the dealer repair is free. If you've already paid out of pocket for a related solar panel sealant repair, Thor Motor Coach's general reimbursement plan on file covers documented expenses.
