What's wrong?
The high pressure fuel pump on the 2025 Urus feeds fuel to the engine at the pressure needed for direct injection. It is fastened to the cylinder head and connected to fuel lines, so the pump and lines have to stay tightly sealed while the engine is running.
On affected Urus vehicles, the pump fasteners were not tightened correctly during production rework. A scanner malfunction kept the normal tightening step from happening with the standard production tool, and the later manual rework did not finish the connection to specification. That leaves the pump connection and fuel lines without the clamping force needed to seal correctly, allowing fuel to leak.
There is no guaranteed warning sign before failure. Some drivers noticed a fuel smell or a malfunction indicator lamp, also called a Check Engine Light, but the defect can stay hidden until a leak occurs.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Lamborghini technician inspects the screw connections securing the high pressure fuel pump. The technician replaces the high pressure fuel pump and fuel lines when the inspection shows they need replacement. The recall repair is free, including parts and labor. Repairs already paid for are handled through the new vehicle warranty, not through a separate reimbursement program, because the affected Urus vehicles remain under warranty. Ask the service desk how that coverage applies to prior repair paperwork.
