2025-2026 International Emv/Lt/Hv/Hx/Rh/Mv Recall 25V276: Wipers

Recall 25V276 affects 14,786 2025-2026 International vehicles for separating wiper linkage. Repair is free at any franchised International dealer.

International is recalling 14,786 2025-2026 Emv, Lt, Hv, Hx, Rh, and Mv vehicles because the linkage connecting the right-side wiper arm to the motor can separate and stop the wipers. Wiper failure reduces driver visibility and increases crash risk; International dealers will repair the linkage free of charge.

What's wrong?

The wiper module on the 2025-2026 International Emv, Lt, Hv, Hx, Rh, and Mv trucks moves the windshield wiper arms across the glass. The right-side linkage is the mechanical arm that connects the wiper arm to the motor, so the motor's motion turns into the sweep that clears rain, snow, and road spray.

On these trucks, the linkage socket on the right-side wiper assembly can separate from the wiper motor. International traced the problem to linkage sockets with dimensions outside specification, and supplier tooling was updated to correct that variation. When the socket separates, the motor no longer drives the right-side wiper arm, and the wiper stops doing its job.

There is no warning sign before failure. The driver can notice the problem only when the right-side wiper stops moving or no longer clears the windshield normally.

What's the safety risk?

Windshield wiper failure can cut visibility and increase the risk of a crash, especially in rain, snow, or road spray. There is no warning sign before failure, so schedule the repair soon and avoid driving in poor weather until it is complete. Repair is free at any franchised International dealer.

What should I do?

  1. Check your VIN to confirm your 2025-2026 International Emv, Lt, Hv, Hx, Rh, or Mv is included in this recall.
  2. Contact a franchised International dealer to schedule the free wiper-module replacement that fixes the separating wiper linkage.
  3. Bring the recall notice to the dealer, or reference recall number 25V276 and International recall 25505 when you call.
  4. Avoid driving in rain or poor visibility until the wiper repair is complete.

What happens at the repair

At the dealer, an International technician replaces the wiper module that operates the windshield wiper linkage. The replacement parts and labor are free under the recall. If you already paid out of pocket for a related wiper repair before the owner letter, International's standard reimbursement plan applies. Use the instructions in the owner letter and keep your repair paperwork so the claim can be reviewed.

Frequently asked questions

What is recall 25V276?

Recall 25V276 covers 14,786 2025-2026 International Emv, Lt, Hv, Hx, Rh, and Mv vehicles. The right-side wiper arm linkage can separate from the motor, causing wiper failure. Reduced visibility increases crash risk. International dealers will replace the wiper module for free.

What should I do if my 2025-2026 International Emv, Lt, Hv, Hx, Rh, or Mv is on this recall?

Check your VIN to confirm your specific vehicle is included in recall 25V276. If it is, contact a franchised International dealer to schedule the wiper module replacement. Reference recall number 25V276 or International recall number 25505 when you call. The repair is free.

Is the recall repair free?

Yes. Federal recall law requires manufacturers to repair safety defects at no cost, and International dealers will replace the wiper module free of charge. Parts and labor are covered by the recall repair.

What is the safety risk?

The safety risk is reduced driver visibility. If the linkage separates, the windshield wipers can fail, which makes it harder to see the road in rain or other wet conditions and increases the risk of a crash.

When were owner letters mailed for recall 25V276?

International mailed owner notification letters on June 2, 2025. If you own a 2025-2026 International Emv, Lt, Hv, Hx, Rh, or Mv and did not receive a letter, check your VIN and call an International dealer with recall number 25V276.
