What's wrong?
The cant rail panel on the 2024-2025 Tesla Cybertruck is the long exterior stainless panel along the roof edge that helps finish and seal that body area. It is bonded to the vehicle structure with structural adhesive. That adhesive is supposed to keep the panel attached through heat, weather, vibration, and normal driving loads.
On affected Cybertrucks, the recalled panel assembly relies only on a structural adhesive that Tesla found can become brittle after environmental exposure. Once the adhesive weakens, the bond between the panel and the vehicle structure can separate. The panel can delaminate, loosen, and detach from the truck instead of staying fixed to the body.
Before full separation, an owner can hear a detectable noise inside the cabin. The panel can also look loose, lifted, or partly separated from the vehicle. Those signs mean the bonded panel is no longer holding as intended.
Who's affected?
Both model years list the same body-structure component in this recall.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific pickup truck is included.
What's the safety risk?
A detached light bar can become a road hazard and increase crash risk. Cabin noise from the cant rail panel, looseness, or visible panel separation is a warning sign to schedule service and avoid extra trips until Tesla inspects it. Repair is free at any franchised Tesla dealer.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Tesla technician replaces the cant rail assembly that holds the exterior light bar area in place. The recall repair is free, and parts and labor are covered. Out-of-pocket repairs already paid are handled through the existing new vehicle warranty, not through a separate reimbursement program, because all affected vehicles remain under warranty. If you have prior repair paperwork for related work, ask the Tesla service desk how that warranty coverage applies.
