Recall 25V136 affects 48 2025 Big Tex 16RB, 14RD, 16RD, and 14RB trailers for undersized winch hardware. Free Big Tex dealer repair once available.
Big Tex is recalling 48 2025 16RB, 14RD, 16RD, and 14RB trailers because undersized winch mounting hardware can let the winch detach from its mount. Falling cargo can create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash or injury, and the Big Tex dealer repair will be free once the remedy is available.

What's wrong?
The Warrior 14.5K winch on the 2025 Big Tex 16RB, 14RD, 16RD, and 14RB trailers is the electric winch mounted to the trailer frame for pulling or positioning heavy loads. Its bolts, nuts, and washers hold the winch tight to the winch mount so pulling force stays centered on the trailer instead of shifting into loose hardware.
On affected trailers, the winch hardware supplied with the new Warrior Winches installation was not the right size for the mount. That undersized hardware can loosen under load and let the winch move on the mount. If the connection keeps working loose, the winch can separate from the mount instead of staying fixed to the trailer.
The warning sign is noticeable instability at the winch mount. If the winch rocks, shifts, or looks loose when inspected, treat that as a sign the mounting hardware needs dealer attention before the winch is used again.

What's the safety risk?
If the winch loosens or detaches, cargo can fall onto the road, creating a hazard and increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Noticeable instability on the winch mount is a warning sign. Stop using the winch and contact a Big Tex dealer for recall guidance. Repair will be free at any franchised Big Tex dealer once available.

The final dealer repair will be free, with components and instructions provided at no cost. Big Tex will reimburse labor for inspection and the required repair work.
