What's wrong?
The remote fuel filter hose on the 2022-2025 Fccc Xcm, Xcs, Xcr, and Xbs chassis carries diesel fuel through the engine fuel system. It uses quick-connect fittings so fuel can move from the filter area toward the Cummins L9 diesel engine without leaking. The hose and fitting have to stay locked together under vibration, heat, and normal engine movement.
On affected chassis, the connector crimp on the hose was not tight enough. That weak crimp can let the hose separate from its fitting, which opens a path for diesel fuel to leak. If enough fuel flow is interrupted, the engine can stall.
