What's wrong?
The water heater on the 2025 Forest River East To West Ahara Fifth trailer burns LP gas to heat water for the coach. That burner creates exhaust, and the exhaust outlet is supposed to send combustion gases outside the living space and away from the slide room area.
On affected trailers, the water heater exhaust was placed directly under the slide room. Forest River traced the problem to an engineering error. Because the exhaust outlet sits within 36 inches of the bottom of the slide room, carbon monoxide can enter the trailer instead of clearing safely outside.
The carbon monoxide alarm can sound before an owner notices anything else. Treat that alarm as the warning sign, leave the trailer, and have the exhaust placement corrected. The dealer repair is free and brings the water heater exhaust back to the required clearance.
