What's wrong?

The InVision Three Burner Cooktop in 2025 Forest River Shasta Oasis and Spirit travel trailers uses LP gas to feed the burners. The LP line and burner tube are supposed to carry that gas from the trailer supply to the cooktop while staying sealed. When the burner is used, gas should reach the flame only at the burner ports.

On included trailers, the aluminum burner tube can crack. Once that tube cracks, LP gas can escape before it reaches the burner where it belongs. Forest River tied the recall scope to the vendor shipment group that supplied the affected cooktops to the manufacturing plant.

An owner can notice the smell of LP gas. The trailer's LP gas detector can also sound an alarm. Treat either sign as a warning that gas is escaping and stop using the cooktop until the recall repair is complete.

Who's affected?

Covers both Shasta Oasis and Spirit travel trailer models using the same LP line for the oven, stove, and cooktop.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific trailer is included.

What's the safety risk?

A gas leak near an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. An LP gas odor or an LP gas detector alarm is a warning sign. Stop using the cooktop until the dealer completes the recall repair, and keep ignition sources away if you smell gas. Repair is free at any franchised Forest River dealer.

What should I do?

  1. Check your VIN to confirm your 2025 Forest River Shasta Oasis or Spirit travel trailer is included in this recall.
  2. Stop using the cooktop until the dealer completes the repair.
  3. Contact a franchised Forest River dealer to schedule the free internal gas line replacement that addresses the cracked burner tube gas leak.
  4. Bring the owner letter if Forest River mailed one. If not, reference recall number 25V005 when you call.

What happens at the repair

Do not use the cooktop until the recall remedy is complete. At the dealer, a Forest River technician inspects the InVision cooktop's internal gas line for cracks and replaces the internal gas line if needed. Parts and labor are free under the recall. If you've already paid for a repair within the scope of this defect, you still need the recall inspection or repair so Forest River can confirm the correct parts and procedure were used. For reimbursement, submit the service invoice to Shasta in Middlebury, Indiana.
