What's wrong?
Fuel and brake lines on 2024 Altec Spray Truck, Ta Class, and At Series units run along the chassis frame rail. The fuel lines carry diesel from the tank toward the engine, and the brake lines carry hydraulic pressure that lets the service brakes apply when the pedal is pressed. Clips and brackets are supposed to hold those lines in place so they do not touch bolts, brackets, or other nearby parts.
On affected units, the lines are not secured correctly. That leaves enough movement for a fuel line or brake line to rub against another component on the frame rail. Over time, that contact can wear through the line, damage it, and create a fuel or brake fluid leak.
A periodic DOT inspection can find fuel or brake lines touching another component before a leak starts. A daily pre-travel inspection can also find visible leaking under the chassis or around the line routing.
Who's affected?
Covers Spray Truck, Ta Class, and At Series configurations, with the same clip tied to both the fuel system and hydraulic brake hose.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific truck is included.
What's the safety risk?
A brake fluid leak can cause brake failure and increase crash risk. A fuel leak near an ignition source increases fire risk. Inspect for brake or fuel lines touching another component and treat any leak as a reason to stop using the truck and call Altec. Repair will be free at any franchised Altec dealer once available.

What happens at the repair
Altec's final dealer repair is still marked as under development, so do not treat the recall as ready for a scheduled dealer fix yet. The repair path is clear once it opens: an Altec technician will have the brake and fuel lines inspected, secure any loose lines with an Altec kit, and repair any damaged fuel or brake lines. Parts and labor are covered under the recall. Altec's Warranty Policy also covers eligible reimbursement for the cost of a related repair done before the owner letter or through an OEM remedy.
