What's wrong?
The front right lower link on the 2024 Nissan Frontier is a lower suspension arm on the front right side. It helps hold the front wheel in the correct position while the suspension moves. Its ball joint is the pivot point between the lower link and the steering knuckle, so the wheel can turn and move up and down without the joint pulling apart.
On affected Frontier trucks, a supplier production issue left the front right ball joint oversized for the lower link. That changes the press fit, which is the tight mechanical grip that holds the ball joint in the lower link. With too little grip, corrosion and normal suspension loads can let the ball joint separate from the lower link.
There is no warning sign before failure. A driver should not expect noise, vibration, or a warning light before the joint separates.
Who's affected?
Both listed repair areas trace to the front right lower link used in pickup trucks built from January 29, 2024, to March 4, 2024.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Nissan technician replaces the front right side lower link. Parts and labor are covered under the recall, so the dealer repair is free. Nissan is not offering a separate reimbursement program because the affected vehicles are under warranty. If you already have paperwork for a related lower link or ball joint repair, ask the service desk how the existing warranty coverage applies.
