Dynamax is recalling 4,480 vehicles from model years 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, including DX3, Isata, and Cedar Creek, because the cooktop range LED backlight circuit board can fail and overheat. What's wrong?
The recalled part is the slide-in range or cooktop with LED backlighted knobs installed in the affected RVs and trailers from 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The knobs use small LED lights so the control positions are easier to see inside the coach. Those lights are powered through a circuit board inside the range assembly.
On affected ranges, the circuit board did not receive enough protective coating to seal it from contamination. Contamination can let the LED backlight circuit fail, and the board can overheat. The remedy removes the LED backlights or terminates the red LED circuit, which stops that backlight circuit from staying powered.
Owners can see the warning sign at the cooktop knobs. The LED backlights can stay on when the knobs are in the off position, or come on at random and remain illuminated. If you see that behavior, treat it as the sign that the backlight circuit is not acting normally.

What's the safety risk?
If the cooktop knob LED backlights stay on after the knobs are off, or turn on at random, the circuit board can overheat and increase the risk of a fire. Stop using the cooktop controls if the lights behave this way and schedule the recall repair soon. Repair is free at any franchised Dynamax dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, or 2024 Dynamax DX3, Cedar Creek, Wildcat, Dynaquest Xl, Europa, Force, Isata, Ibex, No Boundaries, Shockwave, Stealth, Cardinal, Sandstorm, Columbus, or Continental Cargo is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Dynamax dealer to schedule the free LED backlight circuit repair that addresses the cooktop range circuit-board fire risk.
- Bring the recall notice if Dynamax has mailed one. If not, reference recall number 24V272 when you call.
- Avoid using the cooktop LED backlights until the dealer disconnects and terminates the circuit powering them.
- Call Dynamax customer service at 1-574-247-9235 with questions before your appointment.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Dynamax technician disconnects and cuts the circuit that powers the cooktop LED backlights, then terminates the wiring so the backlight board is no longer powered. The recall repair is free, and parts and labor are covered. Dynamax used its general reimbursement plan on file for this campaign. For an out-of-pocket cooktop backlight repair already paid before the recall notice, contact Dynamax customer service and ask how to submit documentation under that plan.
