What's wrong?
The recalled 2022-2024 Tiffin Byway, Allegro Open Road, and Allegro Red 360 motorhomes have a Suburban Oven model 3636 with backlit LED cooktop knobs. The backlight circuit board, also called a PCB, powers those knob lights and routes the small electrical signals behind the oven control panel. In normal use, the lights show knob status while the cooktop and oven remain controlled by the appliance switches.
On affected ovens, the circuit board lacks protective conformal coating in the passages between board layers. Liquid from the cooktop surface can collect in those passages. That liquid path can short the board, cause the LED backlight board to fail, and let the board overheat.
The warning sign is tied to the knob lights. The LED backlights can stay on when the knobs are off, or they can turn on at random and stay illuminated. Treat either sign as a warning that the board has begun to fail.
