Entegra is recalling 286 2008, 2023, 2024, 2025 Anthem and Cornerstone motorhomes because foreign material inside the steering gear can build pressure and cause a sudden loss of power steering assist. That loss can increase crash risk, and the Entegra dealer repair will be free once available.

What's wrong?
The independent front suspension and steering gear on affected Entegra Anthem and Cornerstone motorhomes work together to point the front wheels where the driver steers. The steering gear takes movement from the steering wheel and turns it into movement at the front axle. Power steering assist reduces the effort needed to turn a large motorhome, especially at low speed.
On these 2008, 2023, 2024, and 2025 motorhomes, foreign material can be left inside the steering gear. Jayco traces the issue to the sector shaft striking an inspection camera ring during assembly, which chips material from the ring and sends debris into the gear. That debris can build pressure inside the steering system and cause a loss of power steering assist.
A loss of power steering assist can occur without a warning sign. The steering wheel can suddenly require much more force, so an owner should treat any abrupt change in steering effort as a serious steering problem.

What's the safety risk?
Power steering assist can stop suddenly, which makes the coach harder to steer and increases the risk of a crash. There is no warning sign before the loss of assist, so schedule the recall repair soon and use extra care at low speeds or tight turns. Repair will be free at any franchised Entegra dealer once available.
What should I do?

- Contact a franchised Entegra dealer and ask whether the free steering-gear replacement is ready for your VIN.

- Schedule the steering-gear replacement that addresses foreign material in the gear and loss of power steering assist.
- Drive cautiously until the repair is complete. Leave extra room for steering effort and avoid trips that are not needed.
What happens at the repair
For this campaign, the dealer repair will be to remove the steering gear and install a replacement steering gear. The dealer repair will be free once the campaign remedy is open. Because the affected chassis are within their warranty period, Entegra is not using a separate reimbursement program for this recall. Out-of-pocket steering gear repairs already paid are handled through the existing warranty, without charge to the consumer.
