Recall 24V074 affects 108 2012-2023 Eldorado Xhf and Arrivo vehicles for dim wheelchair-lift threshold beacons. Repair is free at any franchised Eldorado dealer.
Eldorado is recalling 108 2012-2023 Xhf and Arrivo vehicles equipped with Ricon wheelchair lifts because the red beacon lighting in the threshold warning system is not bright enough. Dim beacons are harder for wheelchair lift users to see, increasing the risk of injury, and Eldorado dealers will complete the free repair.

What's wrong?
The wheelchair lift on 2012-2023 Eldorado Xhf and Arrivo vehicles uses a threshold warning system to alert people near the lift opening. That system includes a red beacon, which is supposed to give a clear visual warning when someone is close to the threshold while the lift is in use.
On affected lifts, the sensor assembly uses a red beacon with two incandescent bulbs. Ricon found that the bulb wattage is not high enough to meet the 20 candela light-intensity requirement in FMVSS 403. That means the beacon works, but it is not bright enough for the required warning function.
There is no warning sign before failure. An owner or operator is not expected to get a dashboard light or lift fault message before the beacon falls short of the required brightness.
Who's affected?
Covers Xhf and Arrivo buses across the 2012-2023 model years, all tied to the same wheelchair lift/ramp equipment.

What's the safety risk?
Improper beacon illumination makes the wheelchair lift area harder for users to see, increasing the risk of injury. Until the repair is complete, use extra care when loading or unloading wheelchair lift passengers and schedule service soon. Repair is free at any franchised Eldorado dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2012-2023 Eldorado Xhf or Arrivo is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Eldorado dealer to schedule the free TWS kit replacement that fixes the dim red beacon lighting on the wheelchair-lift threshold warning system.
- Bring the recall notice if Eldorado mailed one. If not, reference recall number 24V074 when you call.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an Eldorado technician works with Ricon to replace the threshold warning system kits for the wheelchair lift. The recall repair is free, and parts and labor are covered. The repair addresses the red beacon lighting in the threshold warning system, which did not meet the brightness requirement for the platform lift system. Eldorado has a general reimbursement plan on file for this campaign. If you already paid for a related threshold warning system repair, contact Eldorado customer service and ask how to submit documentation under that plan.
