What's wrong?
The GoodRide ST200 ST235/80R16 LRE tires on certain 2024 Pj Trailers models carry the trailer's load and hold air pressure while the trailer rolls. The sidewall is the outer wall between the tread and the wheel rim. It flexes with the road and helps keep the tire's shape under load.
On the recalled tires, the sidewall can develop bubbling and then separate. That separation lets air pressure escape. Once pressure drops, the tire no longer supports the trailer the way it was designed to, and the trailer is riding on a compromised tire. Pj Trailers identified the affected tire group by tire identification number and manufacture date code.
There is no warning sign before failure. If you see sidewall bubbling, cracking, bulging, or a tire losing pressure, treat the tire as suspect and have the trailer checked before further use.
