Recall 23V814 affects 20,051 2022-2024 INFINITI QX60 vehicles for downward-adjusting headlights. Repair will be free at franchised INFINITI dealers once available.
INFINITI is recalling 20,051 2022-2024 QX60 SUVs because, at certain high speeds, the Adaptive Front-Light System can aim the headlights too low. That loss of headlight reach can reduce visibility and increase crash risk; the INFINITI dealer repair will be free once the remedy is available.

What's wrong?
The Adaptive Front-Light System on the 2022-2024 INFINITI QX60 controls headlight aim as driving conditions change. Its job is to keep the beam pointed far enough down the road without aiming too high into other drivers' eyes. The Intelligent Power Distribution Module, or IPDM, sends the control signal that tells the headlamp leveling system where to point.
On affected QX60 SUVs, the AFS setting inside the IPDM uses the wrong vehicle tilt value. When the headlights are in AUTO mode and the vehicle exceeds 81 mph (130 km/h), the system switches into highway mode but drives the lamps to their lowest downward angle. That shortens the lighted area ahead and reduces visibility in low light.
There is no warning sign before failure. At the moment it happens, the driver sees the headlight beam drop toward the road; switching the headlights from AUTO to ON or slowing below 81 mph returns the aim.
Who's affected?
Covers one QX60 component across the 2022, 2023, and 2024 model years: the lighting control module.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether this recall applies to your specific SUV.
What's the safety risk?
Incorrectly adjusted headlights reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. There is no warning sign before the problem, so use extra caution in low light and schedule the recall repair promptly if your VIN is included. Repair will be free at any franchised INFINITI dealer once available.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2022-2024 INFINITI QX60 is included in this recall.
- Watch for the INFINITI owner letter that was mailed January 26, 2024, or call INFINITI customer service at 1-800-867-7669 if you did not receive it.
- Ask a franchised INFINITI dealer about recall number 23V814 and the IPDM reconfiguration once the repair is available.
- Use extra care if the headlights point downward at high speeds, since reduced visibility raises crash risk.
What happens at the repair
INFINITI has identified the dealer repair as a reconfiguration of the Intelligent Power Distribution Module settings. Once the repair opens, an INFINITI technician will update those settings so the Adaptive Front-Light System does not incorrectly point the headlights downward at certain high speeds. The final dealer repair will be free once available, and the dealer labor is covered under the recall. Out-of-pocket repairs already paid are handled through the existing warranty, not through a separate reimbursement program, because the subject vehicles are under warranty. Ask the service desk how warranty coverage applies if you have prior repair paperwork.
