What's wrong?

The 2021-2023 Tiger Bengal Tx uses a Cummins Onan gasoline RV generator to make electrical power when the coach is away from shore power. A fuel hose carries gasoline from the fuel filter to the Injection Pump Module, the generator part that feeds fuel into the engine. That hose and its clamp have to hold tight while the generator vibrates and the coach moves.

On the affected generator sets, the fuel hose between the filter and Injection Pump Module was not secured properly. Provan traced the issue to an inadequate fuel hose and clamp provided and installed by Cummins Onan. If the hose loosens or fails to seal, gasoline can leak at the generator instead of staying inside the fuel system.

The warning sign is gasoline visible at the rear of the coach or a gasoline smell near the rear generator area. Treat either sign as a reason to stop using the generator and have the recall repair handled.

Who's affected?

Covers the Bengal Tx across the 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years, all with the same Cummins Onan generator fuel-system hose issue.

What should I do?

  1. Check your VIN to confirm your 2021-2023 Tiger Bengal Tx is included in this recall.
  2. Contact a franchised Tiger dealer to schedule the free fuel-hose and clamp inspection that fixes the loose generator fuel hose.
  3. Bring the recall notice if Tiger has mailed one. If not, reference recall number 23V539 when you call.
  4. Avoid running the affected generator until the dealer inspects and secures the fuel hose and clamps.

What happens at the repair

At the dealer, a Tiger technician inspects the generator fuel hose between the fuel filter and Injection Pump Module, along with the hose clamps. If the hose or clamps are not secured correctly, the technician replaces the fuel hose and clamps as needed. The recall repair is free. Provan directs owners to an authorized Cummins Onan service center for this generator work. If that service center charges you for the repair, Provan RV Industries will reimburse you and work with Cummins directly on the repair cost.
