What's wrong?
The Suburban SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktop is the built-in cooking appliance in certain 2021-2023 L'Air Camper Trillium Heritage 1300, Trillium Heritage 4500, Lion 1300, and Lion 4500 travel trailers. Its internal aluminum burner tubes carry gas from the control valves to the burners, so the flame gets fuel only when the cooktop is in use. Those tubes have to stay sealed while the trailer moves, heats, cools, and vibrates.
In the recalled cooktops, the aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves can fracture. Once a tube cracks, gas escapes inside the cooktop instead of traveling cleanly to the burner.
