Triumph is recalling 1,351 2022-2023 Speed Triple RS and Speed Triple Rr motorcycles because the radiator fan can overheat and the fan motor can fail. An inoperative fan motor can leave the motorcycle leaking or spraying hot coolant, increasing the risk of injury or crash, and Triumph dealers will complete the free repair.

What's wrong?
The radiator fan assembly on 2022-2023 Triumph Speed Triple RS and Speed Triple Rr motorcycles pulls air through the radiator when road speed is low. That airflow helps move heat out of the coolant so engine temperature stays controlled in traffic.
On affected motorcycles, the fan can run beyond its maximum operating temperature during hot weather and slow-moving traffic. The fan motor then overheats and fails instead of continuing to cool the radiator. Triumph says defective motorcycles do not have the heat shield fitted; remedied motorcycles have the heat shield fitted to protect the fan area.
The instrument warning light will illuminate before the fan problem reaches the coolant-loss stage. If the rider ignores that light and keeps riding at low speed, coolant can be displaced from the cooling system.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether this recall applies to your specific motorcycle.
What's the safety risk?
If the fan motor stops working, hot coolant can leak or spray from the system, raising the risk of injury or a crash. The instrument warning light will illuminate, so take that warning seriously, pull over when safe, and arrange service before riding again. Repair is free at any franchised Triumph dealer.

- Bring the recall notice if Triumph mailed one. If not, reference recall number 23V006 when you call.

- Call Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010 with questions about the repair or appointment timing.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Triumph technician installs an additional heatshield to protect the radiator fan area from excess heat. The recall repair is available now, and parts and labor are free. Triumph is not offering a separate reimbursement program because any failure before the recall notice would have been handled under the manufacturer's limited warranty. If you already have repair paperwork for this issue, ask the service desk how the limited warranty applies.
