What's wrong?
The front amber side reflex reflector is built into the right front headlamp assembly on the 2017-2018 Dodge Journey. It is not a bulb. Its job is to reflect light from another vehicle back toward that driver so the side of the Journey is easier to see in low light.
On the affected vehicles, the reflector in the headlamp assembly does not reflect brightly enough to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. The issue comes from a noncompliant reflector installed during the suspect production period. The repair uses a headlamp assembly with a compliant reflex reflector, so the reflector returns the required amount of light.
