2022 Jayco Greyhawk/Odyssey Recall 22V575: Awning Drop

Jayco is recalling 118 2022 Jayco and Entegra Coach RVs for awning fabric separation. Repair is free at a franchised Jayco dealer.

Jayco is recalling 118 2022 Greyhawk, Odyssey, Redhawk, Melbourne, and Greyhawk Prestige motorhomes because the electric retractable awning fabric has a welded seam that can separate and let the awning drop beyond normal operation. That drop can increase the risk of injury, and Jayco dealers will complete the recall repair free of charge.

What's wrong?

The electric retractable awning on affected 2022 Jayco Greyhawk, Greyhawk Prestige, Melbourne, Redhawk, and Odyssey motorhomes is the powered fabric shade mounted along the side of the coach. Its fabric rolls in and out on a track, and the fabric joint must stay bonded so the awning stops and supports itself within its normal operating range.

On these motorhomes, the weld between the awning fabric and the adjoining PVC track did not penetrate deeply enough in some areas. That weak bond can start to separate at the fabric joint. If the separation grows, the awning fabric can pull loose and drop beyond normal operation instead of staying controlled by the roller and track.

The warning sign is visible at the awning roll along the coach. Look for partial separation at the ends of the welded fabric joint before using the awning again.

What's the safety risk?

An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation increases the risk of injury to anyone nearby. A visible warning sign is partial weld separation at the ends of the awning roll along the coach. Keep people clear of the awning and schedule the inspection soon. Repair is free at any franchised Jayco dealer.

If you already paid for an awning fabric repair before the recall, Jayco's recall reimbursement plan covers eligible prior repairs.
