Recall 22V372 affects 18 2022 E-One fire trucks for vehicle lighting failure. Repair is free at any franchised E-One dealer.
E-One is recalling 18 2022 Cyclone N, Cyclone Ii, Commercial, and Typhoon N fire trucks because an added resistor was installed incorrectly on the printed circuit board, disrupting CAN network communication and causing vehicle lighting to fail. Inoperable lighting can reduce visibility and increase crash risk, and an E-One dealer will complete the recall repair free of charge.

What's wrong?
The V-mux Hercules HC Node 1.5 on 2022 E-One Cyclone N, Cyclone Ii, Commercial, and Typhoon N fire trucks is an electrical input and output module. It works with the Weldon V-mux system, the truck network that lets switches, lighting circuits, and other electrical controls send commands to each other.
Inside the affected node, an extra termination resistor was installed on the printed circuit board because of a bill of material error. That resistor changes how the CAN network communicates. When the network signal is disrupted, the module fails to pass commands correctly, and vehicle lighting fails instead of responding when the crew needs it.
There is no warning sign before failure. The issue is inside the circuit board, so an owner or operator is not expected to notice a sound, smell, warning light, or change in operation before the lighting stops working.
Who's affected?
Covers four E-One fire apparatus model lines with the same V-mux Hercules HC Node for electrical and emergency lighting functions.

What's the safety risk?
Inoperable vehicle lighting can make the vehicle harder to see and increase the risk of a crash. There is no warning sign before the lighting stops working, so schedule the repair soon and use extra caution until it is complete. Repair is free at any franchised E-One dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2022 E-One Cyclone N, Cyclone Ii, Commercial, or Typhoon N fire truck is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised E-One dealer to schedule the free module replacement that fixes the CAN network communication fault and vehicle-lighting failure.
- Bring the recall notice if E-One mailed one. If not, reference recall number 22V372 when you call.
- Use extra caution until the repair is complete because failed vehicle lighting reduces visibility.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an E-One technician replaces the modules tied to the printed circuit board issue that disrupts CAN network communication and vehicle lighting. The module replacement and labor are free under the recall. Weldon will provide replacement units and reimburse labor costs through the affected OEMs. If related lighting module work was already completed before the recall repair, keep the repair paperwork and ask the service desk how the labor reimbursement is processed.
