What's wrong?
The 14K RAM A FRAME COUPLER on the 2021 Bravo Hero, Scout, and Star trailers is the front hitch part that locks the trailer tongue to the tow vehicle. When it is fully welded and latched onto the hitch ball, it keeps the trailer connected while the tow vehicle pulls, turns, and brakes.
On affected trailers, the bottom side of the coupler was not fully welded. The part had tack welds or spot welds where full welds were required, leaving the underside of the coupler weaker than intended. Under towing load, that weak weld area can break and allow the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle.
If the coupler has broken, it can feel excessively loose when you connect the trailer. That looseness is the warning sign to stop before towing and have the coupler inspected.
Who's affected?

What's the safety risk?
Trailer separation from the tow vehicle can increase the risk of a crash. Before towing, check the coupler at connection. If it feels excessively loose or broken, stop using the trailer and call a Bravo dealer for inspection. Repair is free at any franchised Bravo dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2021 Bravo Hero, Scout, or Star trailer is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Bravo dealer to schedule the free coupler inspection and replacement that fixes the improper weld that can let the trailer separate.
- Bring the recall notice Bravo mailed, or reference recall number 22V363 when you call.
- Avoid towing the trailer until the coupler has been inspected and the repair is complete.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Bravo technician inspects the trailer coupler and replaces it if the weld or coupler condition falls under the recall. The inspection, replacement coupler, and labor are free under the recall. Out-of-pocket repairs already paid are handled through Bravo Warranty, not through a separate reimbursement program. Ask the service desk how Bravo Warranty applies if you have prior repair paperwork.
