What's wrong?
The 50 amp shore receptacle on the 2022 Keystone Alpine, Avalanche, Passport, Impact, Arcadia, and Fuzion travel trailers is the inlet where the trailer connects to external power. It carries 125/250v service from the campsite or shore power cord into the trailer's electrical system. The lug bolts inside that receptacle clamp the wiring so the connection stays tight while power is flowing.
On the affected trailers, the metal used for the lug is too hard. The #2 Philips recess was not stamped deep enough, so a torque driver cannot seat correctly and tighten the lug bolt to the required clamp load. That leaves the wiring connection loose instead of firmly held. Keystone says the receptacle must be replaced if it cannot be torqued.
There is no warning sign before failure. Owners should treat a loose shore power connection as a hidden electrical problem, since the defect is inside the receptacle rather than something visible from normal use.
Who's affected?
All listed models use the same 50 amp shore receptacle part, with both recreational vehicle/trailer equipment and electrical system components named in the filing.

What's the safety risk?
Loose wiring can cause an electrical arc or short and increase the risk of fire. Treat this as an electrical safety issue, especially while the RV is connected to power, and schedule the recall repair soon. Repair is free at any franchised Keystone dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2022 Keystone Alpine, Avalanche, Passport, Impact, Arcadia, or Fuzion is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Keystone dealer to schedule the free power-inlet inspection and replacement, if needed, for the loose 50-amp shore power connection.
- Bring the owner letter if you have it, and reference recall number 22V208 when you call.
- Avoid using the 50-amp shore power inlet until the dealer inspects it if the connection looks loose, damaged, or overheated.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Keystone technician inspects the shore power inlet and its wiring connection, then replaces the power inlet if it cannot be tightened correctly. The recall covers parts and labor. Keystone has a manufacturer reimbursement plan on file for owners who already paid for the same power inlet repair before the recall notice. Keep repair orders and payment records, and ask Keystone customer service or the dealer how to submit the documentation.

Frequently asked questions
What is recall 22V208?
Recall 22V208 covers 569 2022 Keystone Alpine, Avalanche, Passport, Impact, Arcadia, and Fuzion trailers with 50-amp shore power inlet lug bolts that prevent proper tightening. A loose wiring connection can arc or short and raise fire risk. Keystone dealers will inspect and replace the power inlet for free.
What should I do if my 2022 Keystone Alpine, Avalanche, Passport, Impact, Arcadia, or Fuzion is on this recall?
Check your VIN to confirm your specific trailer is included in recall 22V208. If it is, contact a Keystone dealer to schedule the power inlet inspection. Reference Keystone recall number 22-428 when you call. The inspection and needed replacement are free.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Federal recall law requires manufacturers to repair recall defects at no cost, and Keystone will have dealers inspect and replace the 50-amp shore power inlet as needed free of charge. Parts and labor are covered for included trailers.
What is the safety risk?
The risk is fire from a loose electrical connection. If the 50-amp shore power inlet wiring is not tightened correctly, the connection can arc or short. If your VIN is included, arrange the free dealer inspection before relying on shore power again.
When did Keystone notify owners?
Keystone mailed owner notification letters on May 11, 2022. If you bought the trailer used or never received a letter, the VIN still decides whether the recall applies. Check your VIN, then call a Keystone dealer or Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369.
