What's wrong?
The grille bezel on 2020-2022 Autocar Legend vehicles is the trim frame around the front grille opening. It helps finish the front structure and stay attached while the vehicle moves through vibration, road shock, and airflow. The attachment has to hold the bezel tight so it does not loosen at the front of the vehicle.
On affected Legend vehicles, the grille structures were 1.3 mm thinner than the design specification. The original attachment method did not tolerate the stress placed on that thinner part. Over normal use, vibration and stress can work the bezel loose until it detaches from the vehicle.
Owners can listen for an audible rattle from the grille area. You can also look for a grille bezel that appears loose or no longer sits flush against the front of the vehicle.
Who's affected?

What's the safety risk?
A loose grille bezel can detach and become a road hazard, increasing crash risk for nearby traffic. Listen for rattling from the grille area, and check for a bezel that looks loose before driving. If either sign appears, drive cautiously and schedule service soon. Repair is free at any franchised Autocar dealer.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an Autocar technician inspects the grille bezel to confirm it is secured correctly and installs new fasteners where the bezel needs additional attachment. Parts and labor are covered under the recall. If you have already paid out of pocket for a related grille bezel repair before the recall notice, Autocar's standard reimbursement plan covers documented expenses. Bring receipts or repair paperwork to the service desk when you ask about reimbursement.
