Holiday House is recalling 13 of its 2019-2021 24TB, 27RQ, and 18RB travel trailers because the Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator can fail and increase propane pressure. Increased pressure can enlarge flames in gas appliances and raise the risk of a fire, and Holiday House dealers will complete the free repair.

What's wrong?
The Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator on affected 2019-2021 Holiday House 24TB, 27RQ, and 18RB travel trailers controls propane pressure between the onboard cylinders and the gas appliances. A regulator is the part that reduces cylinder pressure to a lower, steady appliance pressure so the stove, furnace, refrigerator, or water heater gets a controlled flame.
Inside this regulator, the second-stage valve seat is supposed to stay locked in position and meter propane flow. On affected regulators, that seal can move out of place, so the regulator no longer controls pressure correctly. The rubber supply hoses, called pigtails, can also release a liquid plasticizer into the regulator body. That liquid changes the valve seal, making it degrade during use and move out of position more easily.
Before failure, an owner can notice irregular appliance performance, such as flames that do not look normal or appliances that act differently than expected. A propane smell at the regulator is also a warning sign because it indicates venting from high pressure.

What's the safety risk?
High propane pressure can make gas-appliance flames larger, increasing fire risk. Irregular appliance performance or propane smell at the regulator is a warning sign that the regulator is venting from high pressure. Stop using the gas appliances and schedule service soon. Repair is free at any franchised Holiday House dealer.
