Recall 22V001 affects 116 2018-2022 Rosenbauer Commander, Warrior, and Commercial 114SD vehicles for cracked fuel tubes. Free repair at Rosenbauer dealers.
Rosenbauer is recalling 116 2018-2022 Commander, Warrior, and Commercial 114SD vehicles because fuel tubes for cylinders 4, 5, and 6 can crack and leak high-pressure fuel. A fuel leak near an ignition source increases the risk of fire, and the Rosenbauer dealer repair will be free once it is available.

What's wrong?
The Cummins X12 diesel engine in affected 2018-2022 Rosenbauer Commander, Warrior, and Commercial 114SD trucks uses high-pressure fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors for cylinders 4, 5, and 6. The fuel rail stores pressurized diesel fuel, and each tube carries that fuel to an injector so the engine can meter fuel into the cylinder.
On these trucks, those fuel tubes can crack from metal fatigue. Rosenbauer traced the problem to a mix of vibration strain, assembly strain, and material strength. Once a tube cracks, pressurized diesel fuel can leak into the engine area. Because fuel is near ignition sources, that leak creates a fire risk.
Maintenance staff can find the leak during service. Drivers should report a fuel smell or a visible mist near the engine area, because those are warning signs tied to this failure.

What's the safety risk?
A high-pressure fuel leak near an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. If you smell fuel, see a fuel mist, or a technician finds a leak during maintenance, stop using the vehicle and contact Rosenbauer or the dealer for instructions. Repair will be free at any franchised Rosenbauer dealer once available.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2018-2022 Rosenbauer Commander, Warrior, or Commercial 114SD is included in this recall.
- Confirm Rosenbauer's current repair instruction before scheduling service because the fuel-tube remedy is not listed as open.
- Contact Rosenbauer or Cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467 and reference recall number 22V001 when you call.
- Schedule the free fuel-tube repair once it opens. The repair adds vibration isolators and replaces cracked fuel tubes that can leak high-pressure fuel.
- Avoid ignition sources near the vehicle if you smell fuel or see a leak, and do not keep the vehicle in service until it has been inspected.
What happens at the repair
When the final dealer repair opens, a Rosenbauer technician will install vibration isolators and replace the fuel tubes if inspection shows replacement is needed. The repair covers the fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors for cylinders 4, 5, and 6. Parts and labor will be free under the recall once the remedy is available. Rosenbauer has a general reimbursement plan on file for owners who already paid for the same repair. Ask the service desk or Cummins customer service how to submit repair documentation.
